Welcome to Magic-Milk. We all know that breastfeeding benefits mom and baby. If we really think about it, the benefits are there for partners, families, friends, and ultimately our communities too. Our goal is to create a place to promote breastfeeding facts and normalcy based on evidence based care as well as a space for others to share their experiences, photos, and stories as mothers, fathers, grandmothers, birth professionals, friends and family.

My background started at the age of 18 when I became a pharmacy technician followed by nanny, mother, doula, nursing student and breastfeeding advocate. I have witnessed first hand how the medical system has an obvious flaw when it comes to encouraging women to breastfeed as well as providing the proper information and assistance to breastfeeding families. I have breastfed my children for a total of 60 months and counting. It has been one of the toughest, most beautiful undertakings of my life. The easy part was learning to follow my instincts as a mother and woman. The hard part was finding credible and current information about breastfeeding.

I hope Magic-Milk becomes a place where we can learn and share. We can contribute to normalizing breastfeeding anytime anyplace a mother and child can be. As advocates we can change how future generations view breastfeeding as well as contribute to a healthier happier world. Breastmilk is truly Magic-Milk!
